We are working with a successful full-service law firm to hire an AML Manager for their Risk team in Bristol.
In this role you will take ownership of the anti-money laundering function, driving process improvements, leading centralised client inception, and shaping how the team operates across multiple regional offices.
The firm is looking for an experienced compliance professional with essential prior experience managing anti-money laundering, customer due diligence, and electronic verification processes within a law firm or financial services environment.
Candidates must possess expert knowledge of regulatory standards, proven team leadership capabilities, and a degree-level qualification, with legal or professional anti-money laundering credentials being highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail with the clear communication abilities needed to build effective relationships across fee-earning teams.
The responsibilities will include
- Leading client and matter inception procedures alongside centralised anti-money laundering processes to maintain full regulatory compliance.
- Managing, developing, and supporting the compliance team to foster high performance, consistency, and continuous professional growth.
- Overseeing compliance policies, controls, and workflows, providing expert guidance on complex client due diligence, sanctions, and politically exposed persons.
- Maintaining client and matter data accuracy through regular data cleansing, internal reporting, and supporting formal audits.
- Managing third-party screening and identity verification technology platforms to ensure ongoing operational effectiveness.
- Driving process enhancements, maintaining internal training resources, and travelling regularly to regional offices to support business requirements.
