We are working with a specialist legal consultancy to recruit several Compliance Officers to join their growing internal team. In this role you'll support a wide range of law firm clients on compliance, risk management, and regulatory best practice. You'll play a key part in helping firms maintain quality assurance standards, prepare for audits, and meet their professional and regulatory obligations.
The firm is looking for individuals with proven experience in one or more areas of legal compliance, including AML, SRA Accounts Rules, Data Protection and GDPR, complaints, SRA Authorisation and Investigations, Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) compliance, or BSB Authorisation.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing tailored advice and guidance on AML compliance, including LSAG application, CDD, EDD, and Regulation 21 audits
- Advising firms on SRA Accounts Rules compliance and assisting with rectifying breaches
- Conducting data protection audits, advising on GDPR compliance, and supporting firms in managing data breaches
- Preparing and submitting SRA applications, including ABS and Recognised Body applications
- Supporting firms through SRA or IAA investigations and liaising with regulators where required
- Delivering training on AML, SRA Accounts Rules, and Data Protection best practices
- Assisting with complaint handling and advising on escalation processes
