We are working with a leading global law firm to hire a remote working Conflicts Analyst. In this role, you will be part of a sophisticated, international risk and compliance function, ensuring the firm manages legal and commercial conflict risks across an expansive global network.
The firm is looking for an analytical professional with significant experience in conflicts and confidential information management, preferably gained within an international legal or professional services environment.
The responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and clearing medium-complexity conflict checks while managing legal and commercial issues across the firm\βs global offices.
- Taking full ownership of the conflict checking process from initial data analysis through to the final creation of matter records.
- Liaising directly with partners and lawyers to discuss complex transactions and negotiate resolutions where stakeholders may have differing views.
- Analysing engagement terms to assess the impact of bespoke conflict language from a strategic perspective.
- Identifying potential sanctions-related issues and escalating these promptly.
- Utilising global matter opening systems and external databases to provide accurate and reasoned opinions on regulatory issues.
- Ensuring internal conflict flags are maintained and that daily workflows progress in line with established service level agreements.
- Supporting senior management on departmental projects and strategic initiatives to improve compliance systems.
