We are working with a leading national law firm to hire a Conflicts Advisor into their Risk and Compliance team in Scotland. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assessing whether the firm can accept new mandates in line with regulatory, legal, and internal standards, as well as reputational and commercial considerations.
The firm is looking for an experienced compliance professional with at least three years’ experience in a risk and compliance function, specifically focused on conflicts of interest.
The responsibilities in this role will include:
- Being the first point of contact for conflict queries from legal teams
- Reviewing conflict reports and identifying actual or potential legal or commercial conflicts
- Advising on and establishing information barriers
- Liaising with partners and lawyers to resolve issues arising from changes in matter scope
- Supporting the development of internal procedures and delivering training
- Maintaining key systems such as Intapp and managing insider lists
- Supporting the CIA Manager in wider team initiatives and process improvements
They are looking for candidates with strong analytical thinking, excellent attention to detail, and clear communication skills. A sound understanding of regulatory rules is essential.
