Our client is an international law firm seeking a Compliance Analyst to join their busy legal team in their London office. In this role, you will support the Compliance team in all their legal and regulatory duties. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conduct CDD for a wide range of clients, including individuals, companies, and trusts; reviewing CDD materials and advising on any additional information needed. Perform risk assessments at client onboarding and during updates of CDD records to determine if the client poses a heightened risk of money laundering. Utilise external databases. Research prospective clients to identify any negative media coverage and evaluate its significance. Conduct checks to determine if a client is a PEP and draft emails for Senior Management approval. Perform sanctions screening by searching against HM Treasury’s consolidated sanctions list Respond to queries from all stakeholders regarding CDD requirements Assist with administrative tasks and file audits To apply for this role, you must have experience in law firm risk and compliance, a solid understanding of AML and counter-terrorist financing, and familiarity with using AML databases.
