The Vacancy

AJ Engineering is a leading provider of specialist steel fabrication, engineering and installation services, delivering high-quality solutions across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Fabricators and Welders to join our skilled team.

The Role

Working from engineering drawings and specifications, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding a variety of structural steelwork, bespoke fabrications and engineering components to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld steel components and assemblies from engineering drawings.
  • Carry out welding to a high standard.
  • Measure, cut, assemble and finish fabricated products.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Inspect completed work and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Support installation and site activities where required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Fabricator or Welder or
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong fabrication welding skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Positive, reliable and proactive approach to work.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work within a busy workshop environment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence would be advantageous.
