AJ Connect are working with a Public Sector organisation who are looking to recruit a Civil Engineer. As part of its ambitions for equitable economic growth, it is driving an innovative and ambitious reconstruction effort for its town centres and surrounding regions. This is a fantastic chance to join their Technical & Design team and work as a civil engineering technician on a substantial corporate portfolio of buildings.
You will be joining a team that aims for service quality and collaborates closely with both partner organisations and the broader construction industry. You will be responsible for design, specification, estimating, contract document creation, payments, and contract administration on civil engineering projects in a multi-disciplinary environment.
You will be a member of the Technical & Design team as a Technician (Civil Engineer). You will be responsible for all areas of a standard civil engineering technician's job, including procurement and contract administration.
You must have a bachelor's degree and be qualified for Graduate or Technician membership in the Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.). You should have extensive expertise in the design and construction industries, as well as understanding of computerised design and billing systems. You should also be familiar with public sector procurement and current industry standard forms of construction contract conditions.
