Technical Business Analyst – Figaro

As a Technical Business Analyst at AJ Bell, you will support the company\’s growth and cost targets by delivering effective change and continuous improvements across third‑party systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide business analysis services to support AJ Bell with its growth and cost targets.
• Work directly with third‑party vendors to deliver effective change.
• Enable and support change in our third‑party internal systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of continuous improvements, new products, and functionality.
• Implement change across the department in support of strategic goals and ways of working.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of your work area.
• Work independently and apply a working knowledge of the Figaro application.
• Investigate and model business functions, processes, information flows, and data structures.
• Gather, analyse, and validate business requirements.
• Produce business analysis deliverables using relevant documentation styles and appropriate tools.
• Create high‑quality specifications and facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops.
• Assist in defining user acceptance tests for new or improved business processes and IT systems.
• Analyze solutions from all angles by modelling processes, mapping data, and performing gap, impact, and risk analysis.
• Support internal development teams and external suppliers in the implementation of change.
• Identify areas for system and process improvement to enhance efficiency and report findings to management.
• Ensure all duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, including consumer duty, and deliver the best possible customer experience.

• Business analysis: advise on identifying, investigating, analysing, and communicating complex business problems and opportunities.
• Business modelling: lead on modelling of processes, systems, and data at varying levels of detail or complexity.
• Requirements definition and management: advise on requirements management processes and ensure traceability.
• Stakeholder relationship management: lead on communicating with stakeholders and clarifying needs.
• Systems analysis: identify and analyse IT system capabilities, develop models, and identify gaps.
• Testing: recommend testing value and apply relevant tools and techniques.
• User experience analysis: advise on analysis, prioritisation, and validation of user experience needs.

Hybrid Working

We offer a hybrid working model: spend 3–4 days per week in the office. New team members will work full‑time in the office for the first 3 months to build relationships and delve into our business.
