This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cross-functional Agile team understanding, designing & implementing core solutions that are pivotal for AJ Bell platform propositions, building close ties with the business and broader technology function. This is a growing function where you can help on our journey as we adopt a cloud first, microservice and micro front end architecture approach where the teams are enabled from ideation to delivery. The solutions and processes implemented are key to ensure we remain operationally efficient, regulatorily compliant and provide a best-in-class service for our customers and people.
What does the job involve?
- Active participation in team meetings
- Support Product Owners, Business Analysts and Engineers where required to deliver work
- Support the Senior Developer(s) in delivering work committed to in the sprint
- Support more junior colleagues where necessary using Pair Programming
- Adhere to appropriate Best Practice
- Responsible for quality of code output
- Document processes and best practice
- Perform Code Reviews as part of Pull Requests
- Provide your team with feedback where appropriate on
- Best Practice
- Reoccurring issues in the systems/environments
- Support releases as required
- Incident resolutions or proposals to fix incidents as required by your Line Manager
- Assist App Support investigating incidents
What we\’re looking for:
Key technical skills:
- Excellent knowledge of TIBCO BW5
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Message Service (EMS)
- Strong understanding of TIBCO best practice
- Knowledge of BPMN, ideally iProcess 11.6.1 – Essential
Soft skills:
- Agile / SCRUM
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Very motivated with high levels of drive and enthusiasm
- Keen to learn and develop new technical skills
- E-commerce and/or financial services experience
