Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced In-house Recruiter to join our Recruitment team on a 9-month fixed-term contract, to provide maternity cover.

In this varied, hands-on role, you'll manage recruitment across a range of business functions, including Compliance, Risk, Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Customer Services, and Operations.

Taking ownership of vacancies from briefing through to offer, you'll partner closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, provide market insight, and deliver effective attraction strategies that secure the best talent.

Direct sourcing is central to our recruitment approach at AJ Bell, so you'll be confident proactively identifying and engaging candidates through Linked In, headhunting, networking, and other sourcing channels, particularly for specialist and hard-to-fill roles.

As this is a maternity cover role, you’ll join an established and supportive team and we're looking for a recruiter who can quickly get up to speed, confidently manage their own workload, and take full ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and deliver tailored recruitment strategies.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process across a variety of vacancies, from initial briefing to managing offers.
  • Advise hiring managers on recruitment strategy, candidate availability, salary expectations and market conditions.
  • Proactively source and approach candidates through Linked In, direct search, networking, job boards and other relevant channels.
  • Build strong candidate pipelines and talent pools to support future hiring needs.
  • Manage candidate screening, interview preparation, feedback and offer processes, delivering a positive and personalised candidate experience throughout.
  • Support the wider Recruitment team with vacancies during particularly busy periods, including entry-level roles.
  • Manage vacancies and candidate activity through out applicant tracking system (ATS), Smart Recruiters.
  • Act as an ambassador for AJ Bell and helping us continue to build our profile as an employer of choice.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven end-to-end recruitment experience, either within a fast-paced in-house or agency environment.
  • Experience independently managing vacancies from initial briefing through to offer.
  • Experience recruiting within at least one of the following areas: financial services, operations, finance, risk, compliance or marketing.
  • Strong direct sourcing and headhunting skills.
  • Confidence using Linked In and other recruitment channels to build candidate pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with a proactive and self-sufficient approach.
  • Good understanding of UK recruitment legislation, including data protection, right to work and immigration requirements.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system would be advantageous.

This role is offered on a 9-month fixed term contract to provide maternity cover.
