About the role AJ Bell is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to influence the development of our Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) offerings. In this role, you will play a crucial part in understanding customer needs and guiding data-informed decisions that improve user experiences. You will report to the UX Research Lead and will be responsible for conducting significant research initiatives that impact our D2C strategy, collaborating with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Conduct comprehensive research to gather insights that inform product development and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement user studies, usability tests, and other research methodologies.
• Analyze data and present findings to guide product strategy and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the organization.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in UX research or a related field.
• Proven expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively share insights with diverse teams.
• A degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial services sector.
• Familiarity with tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of usability testing and user journey mapping techniques.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in research tools and software for data analysis and visualization.
• Understanding of design thinking methodologies and user-centered design principles.
• Ability to work with wireframing and prototyping tools.
