The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, delivering, supporting and maintaining secure, resilient and supportable infrastructure solutions across AJ Bells technology estate. The role acts as a senior technical contributor within the Infrastructure team. It owns technical design and delivery for medium-sized infrastructure changes and projects, understands dependencies between systems and workstreams, guides Infrastructure Engineers, and ensures work is delivered in line with agreed standards, controls and security expectations. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is expected to be highly technically skilled and experienced across multiple infrastructure technologies. The role balances hands-on delivery with planning, technical leadership, stakeholder communication, operational support, documentation, risk awareness and security-focused best practice. The role supports the reliability, security, scalability and maintainability of AJ Bells infrastructure services, while supporting and enabling the business to achieve its regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty.
