This is a broad, hands-on HR role that would suit an individual who enjoys being close to the operation, building strong relationships with managers, and acting as a trusted advisor across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Whilst there is a strategic element to the position, the successful candidate must be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and leading from the front.
The organisation is looking for someone who genuinely understands people, culture, and engagement, whilst also possessing strong technical HR expertise and the confidence to manage complex employee relations matters
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Providing day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers across multiple sites
- Leading on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability and performance cases
- Conducting and overseeing workplace investigations, ensuring best practice, consistency, and legal compliance
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning initiatives
- Driving employee engagement, wellbeing, and culture-focused projects
- Coaching and developing managers to improve leadership capability and people management practices
- Ensuring HR processes, policies, and compliance standards are maintained across the business
- Producing HR reports, analysing trends, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
- Previous experience in a HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or similar generalist HR position
- Strong employee relations background with proven experience managing complex casework and investigations
- A confident communicator who can challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Passionate about creating positive workplace cultures and enhancing employee engagement
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ideally experienced within care, healthcare, hospitality, or another people-centric, regulated sector
