Key Responsibilities
The Residential Deputy Home Manager will:
- Act as the person in charge of the home in the absence of the General Manager.
- Support the General Manager in the day-to-day operational running of the home, ensuring alignment with company strategy, vision and values.
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours management support.
- Ensure residents\β needs are consistently met, liaising with families and external professionals where required.
- Monitor and manage PCS compliance and support high-quality care planning.
- Provide coaching and development to care teams, particularly around care planning and best practice.
- Oversee medication ordering, storage and administration processes.
- Support recruitment activity, including interviews, investigations and disciplinary processes.
- Assist with rota management, staffing levels and skill mix, ensuring Coolcare rotas are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety, COSHH, HACCP and Care Standards regulations.
Experience Required
- NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or currently working towards).
- Experience in a Deputy Manager, Care Manager or similar senior role within a residential care setting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.
