As a Junior Product Manager at Aiviq, you will play a crucial role in our product development process, collaborating with the brightest technologists in the industry. You will work alongside our exceptional engineering, quality control, and product teams, leveraging a modern, cloud-based tech stack and integrating cutting-edge technologies to solve complex challenges for the world's largest asset managers. Working across product discovery, prioritisation, and execution, you will develop empathy for customers, learn to synthesise information from various sources, and support product team objectives whilst building your understanding of the full software delivery cycle.
Market & User Research:- Gather and analyse user feedback, product usage data and other inputs to support decision-making and track team objectives.
- Conduct market research with some oversight and guidance, distilling information for meaning and documentation for team use.
- Capture trends, priorities, and pain points from customer or stakeholder interactions and interviews.
- Define personal success metrics for day-to-day role, reporting on progress to line manager and finding ways to improve metrics.
- Distil a range of inputs and produce presentation materials and analysis that supports strategic decision-making with limited supervision.
- Act as the 'voice of product', articulating the strategic roadmap and prioritisation rationale to internal stakeholders.
- Assist with low-level backlog prioritisation utilising leading frameworks.
- Write simple user stories that clearly address well-written problem statements, including appropriate acceptance criteria.
- Present user stories at sprint refinement and articulate them so the whole team is aware of the problem.
- Identify execution risks and assumptions and address them with line manager oversight.
- Assist with Scrum Master duties, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Collate release notes for internal and external audiences that clearly articulate the release value and technical nature of changes in line with documentation standards.
- Quickly build or extend knowledge of Financial Services and, in particular, Asset Management, identifying and completing structured and unstructured learning to close gaps.
- Demonstrate a high-level understanding of the Aiviq product proposition to internal team members.
- Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, engaging with as many Aiviq team members as possible.
- Create wireframes using Figma to support user story development.
- Ask questions, read around the subject, and work with your line manager to identify relevant structured courses to gain experience and confidence quickly.
