We empower the world's leading asset managers with data-driven insights and innovative technology solutions. Our cloud-based platform transforms complex financial data into actionable intelligence, addressing critical challenges in client data quality and insights.
As a Lead Technical Business Analyst at Aiviq, you will be a key technical leader within our product team, taking full accountability for data architecture and technical problem-solving across our platform. This role is particularly focused on delivering our new Enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) capability, which will be critical to our platform's evolution, whilst also supporting the broader Aiviq product suite.
You will work autonomously as a domain expert, combining deep business knowledge with advanced data modelling skills to solve complex technical challenges. In line with the industry's evolution, we're looking for someone who embraces AI-augmented workflows and leverages modern AI tools to enhance productivity, analysis, and problem-solving.
You'll own functional specifications, drive data strategy initiatives, and act as the technical escalation point for delivery teams. This role requires someone who can work independently, think critically about data architecture, and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
Working closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineering teams, and client stakeholders, you'll ensure our platform delivers exceptional data quality and supports sophisticated investment management workflows.

- Lead the design and implementation of Enterprise Master Data Management capabilities, ensuring data quality and consistency across the platform.
- Express complex business requirements comprehensively, owning refinement of non-standard requests or new product features.
- Translate sophisticated concepts into understandable language and demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills to negotiate and build consensus.
- Data Analysis & Documentation
- Demonstrate full data literacy, drawing meaningful conclusions from data quickly for any purpose, leveraging both traditional analytical methods and AI-assisted tools.
- Take accountability for functional specification design and drive improvements to increase documentation standards across the product team.
- Demonstrate advanced SQL and BI skills, alongside deep knowledge of Aiviq's data stack (Azure, SQL, ADF, DevOps).
- Demonstrate knowledge of existing and emerging data technologies, including AI/ML capabilities within modern data platforms, and principles of good systems and data design.
- Provide oversight of data analysis and data strategy across teams for migrations, upgrades and non-standard changes.
- Product Development Lifecycle
- Own stories through the entire SDLC lifecycle and post-release, ensuring quality from conception to production.
- Provide oversight and ultimate accountability for quality of user stories and acceptance criteria in line with data and product standards.
- Act as technical escalation point for delivery risks impacting product quality and timelines.
- Provide authoritative guidance on expected product behaviour across various scenarios to development and QA teams.
- Maintain functional specifications that describe in explicit terms how our systems work, using concrete examples.
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- Own test outcomes, considering all scenarios and behaviours and providing domain expertise for QA teams.
- Design and execute advanced database level test, migration or configuration scripts with limited supervision.
- Provide product testing signoff on complex stories, ensuring they meet business acceptance criteria.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives regarding testing approach, coverage and release management, working with QA to implement changes.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Communicate skilfully with the Aiviq leadership team and technical counterparts at client organisations.
- Coach and lead other product team members, sharing knowledge and elevating team capabilities.
- Act as a valued and active voice in development teams, contributing to continuous improvement of products and processes.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of agile delivery methodologies and confidently deputise for Product Owner within Scrum teams where required.
What you will need:
- At least 5 years experience in a business analyst or data analyst role, either within a financial services organisation, consultancy, or (ideally) SaaS/B2B product business.
- Strong experience with asset management or financial services, with preference for candidates who have worked in industry, vendor, or consulting capacity.

- Work on critical data architecture challenges for the world's leading asset managers.
- Collaborative environment with exposure to modern cloud technologies, data platforms, and AI-augmented workflows.
