Mercor is recruiting UK-based Restaurant & Hospitality Technology Experts for a research project with a leading client. We are looking to speak with three expert profiles across UK restaurant operations and restaurant technology (POS and the broader tech stack).

Ideal candidates fit one of the following profiles:

  • Profile 1 — COO / Operations Director at a UK restaurant group (c. 5–30 sites). Ideally someone who has recently selected and has experience implementing the restaurant's POS and broader restaurant technology stack. The call will explore: current operational pain points; current tech stack across the restaurant workflow; purchasing criteria; product relevance; and the reasons and barriers around switching providers.
  • Profile 2 — Owner or senior operator at a smaller restaurant (c. 1–5 sites). Ideally from a different operating model than Profile 1, e.g. QSR / fast casual, pub, cafés, or a delivery-focused model. The call will explore: pain points; current tech stack; willingness to pay; decision-making and buying criteria; support needs and requirements; and digitisation and integration maturity at smaller operators.
  • Profile 3 — (Former) Commercial or Product Director / Leader from a POS vendor. This could be someone who used to work at a company whose product is restaurant technology/POS platform, such as Toast, Lightspeed, Epos Now, or Square. The call will explore: UK market structure; competitive dynamics and presence by customer segment; pricing and business models; sales dynamics; and product insight including product strengths, gaps, and differentiation among providers.

UK market experience is essential across all three profiles, and recent experience in technology selection and implementation would be a plus.
