Overview
TheSecurity Analystwill be responsible for managing and monitoring the company\’s security tools and supporting the company\’s compliance with NIST security controls. The Security Analyst is a key player in defending the company\’s data, systems, and network from vulnerabilities and unauthorized access. This role offers the opportunity to participate in a broad set of compliance and security responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor the company’s security-related tools (Vulnerability scanner, WAF, SIEM, MFA, etc.)
- Identify potential risk issues and collaborate with internal teams to execute corrective steps.
- Serve as an escalation point for security incidents and investigations.
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive measures.
- Assist in responding to customer security risk questionnaires and audits.
- Support the company’s evaluation of security technologies and tools.
- Investigate security breaches and/or incidents.
- Participate in IT security related projects on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree in Information Technology or other technology-related discipline
- 3-5 years of IT experience in IT security administration
- Solid knowledge of cybersecurity and security-related tools preferred
- Security+ Certification required
- CompTIA CySA+ Preferred
- Ability to work independently and within teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in writing technical specifications are required
- The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and to reason analytically is required
- Problem solving and detail oriented.
