AIT Worldwide Logistics is looking for a Network Engineer with exceptional interpersonal communication skills, capable of working independently, who has proven experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting wired and wireless network solutions. The Network Engineer, based at AIT’s London Station, will provide a supporting role in AIT’s Infrastructure Team.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy data networks utilizing industry best practices (wired and wireless).
  • Executing projects within expected time frames; the ability to work independently.
  • Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage Cisco switches (Catalyst and Meraki), and firewalls (Palo Alto and CradlePoint).
  • Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage wireless networks (Meraki and Extreme Networks).
  • Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN and application issues.
  • On-call rotation.
  • Occasional travel (may be required).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree related to IT or comparable field experience required.
  • 2-3 years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining network infrastructure.
  • 2-3 years working with Cisco routing and switching protocols.
  • 2-3 years firewall administration experience (Palo Alto experience preferred).
  • 2-3 years working with Application, Transport and Network infrastructure protocols (SSH, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, NTP, ARP, TCP, UDP, IPv4, BGP, OSPF, IPSec).
  • Ability to troubleshoot AWS CloudWAN routing.
  • Solid understanding of the OSI model.
  • Possess strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
