We are recruiting for a new role - the Subcontractor Administrator will play a key role in ensuring compliance, governance, and effective relationship management between the company and its subcontractor network. The role also supports cost control initiatives, ensuring financial accuracy and accountability across subcontractor operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sourcing and onboarding of new subcontractors
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify recruitment gaps and operational needs
  • Assist with subcontractor vetting and onboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all subcontractor documentation is complete and up to date
  • Manage subcontractor compliance, including: Contracts / Insurance / DBS checks / Right-to-work verification
  • Support the development of subcontractor audit processes alongside the National Contract Manager
  • Contribute to performance reporting, including: Claims tracking / Enquiries / Delivery performance metrics
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with depot teams, particularly Depot Managers, and wider stakeholders
  • Work with our Claims / Enquiries / Finance departments with any subcontractor enquiry
  • Support cost control initiatives by reviewing and authorising/rejecting subcontractor uplift payment requests

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in coaching, or guiding of colleagues
  • Strong problem-solving ability with excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical thinking and data interpretation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience collaborating across multiple departments
  • Strong organisational skills with high accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Good coordination and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of contracts, including breaches and termination processes
