The role involves collecting high-value stock from customer warehouses and distribution centres before returning loads to the appropriate depot within the network, ensuring goods are moved safely, efficiently, and on time.

What Will a Typical Shift Involve?

No two days are the same.

A typical shift will include multiple collections, transporting stock across the network, carrying out vehicle safety checks, and keeping transport records up to date.

A strong focus on customer service, vehicle care, and legal compliance is essential, alongside working within Drivers' Hours Regulations, tachograph requirements, and company procedures.

Key responsibilities include

  • Completing scheduled collections and returning stock to designated depots.
  • Carrying out vehicle safety checks and reporting defects.
  • Maintaining accurate transport records and documentation.
  • Providing a professional service at customer sites.
  • Keeping vehicles safe, clean, and roadworthy.

  • Do you hold a valid Class 1 (CE) HGV Licence and have at least 12 months' CE experience?

  • Are you confident working within Drivers' Hours Regulations and tachograph requirements?
