We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our 2 person home delivery network team. This role is primarily focused on handling returned mattresses, carrying out thorough quality inspections, and preparing products for efficient redistribution to final customers. You will play a key role in ensuring returned items meet our quality standards before being reintroduced into stock and delivered back to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process returned mattresses from delivery teams
- Conduct detailed quality inspections to assess condition and suitability for resale
- Identify and document any damages, defects, or hygiene issues
- Clean mattresses in line with company hygiene and safety standards
- Re-tape, repackage, and re-bag products where required
- Ensure all items are correctly labelled and prepared for reallocation
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and product status
- Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure efficient turnaround
- Keep the warehouse area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety regulations
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required
Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse experience preferred (especially in returns or quality control)
