Outline: Planning, optimising and controlling all deliveries, collections, and returns across the transport operation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and action all emails in a timely manner.
- Ensure all client collections are planned.
- Ensure driver routes are optimised and take into account fuel cost and drivers' hours.
- Allocate driver resource to all routes (employed, agency, and subcontractor).
- Develop and maintain relationships with all external providers and internal departments.
- Produce daily run sheets for all drivers.
- Plan all returns in consultation with the site returns team.
- Complete inbound log for warehouse visibility of inbound loads.
- Ensure all returns are booked in as per customer requirements.
Generic tasks:
- Brief/de-brief drivers.
- Ensure all keys are accounted for, and that vehicles are swept out and utilised/returned in a clean state.
- Ensure all drivers book in/out.
- Download digi cards of returning drivers daily.
- Download digi cards of all agency drivers at the start of shift prior to issuing run details and confirm no major infringement history.
- Ensure the returns procedure for return vehicles is adopted and followed correctly.
- Remain in contact with drivers throughout the shift.
- Raising PO's.

- Certificate of Professional Competence would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Experience managing a fleet of up to 20 vehicles and 50 trailers.
