Create experiences and connections that propel people into impactful AI safety careers. We're a nonprofit startup building the workforce that protects humanity. Since 2022, we’ve trained over 6,000 people in AI safety and biosecurity. Our alumni work at Anthropic, DeepMind, the UK AI Safety Institute, and dozens of other organisations shaping how transformative technologies affect the world. We’re a small team based in London, expanding to San Francisco in Q1 2026. We raised $25M in 2025.

Why this role matters

The people who take our courses could go on to shape how AI and pandemics play out for humanity. But a course alone isn’t enough — people need to feel connected, motivated, and supported to actually take action. This role exists to make our community feel alive, and to turn “participating in a course” into a launchpad for the rest of their career.

What you’ll do

  • Make the course experience exceptional (~30%)
    • Ensure participants have an amazing experience from day one. They’re motivated, they’re meeting each other, they’re building relationships that outlast the course.
    • Know who all the participants are, make introductions between people who should meet, and be the thread that makes the cohort feel like a community.
    • Spot the most promising people and surface them internally so we can help accelerate their careers.
    • Handle the questions, edge cases, and human problems that automation can’t solve.
  • Run and build systems (~25%)
    • Own course operations: group switching, calendar invites, certificates, deferrals, support tickets.
    • Build automations that make everything run more efficiently. We want to spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on high-leverage work.
    • Help build company infrastructure: team onboarding systems, internal tools, digital operations.
    • Work in Airtable, n8n, and similar tools to make the machine hum.
  • Host inspiring events (~25%)
    • Design and run speaker sessions, networking events, and dinners that people actually want to attend.
    • Coordinate speakers, manage logistics, and make sure events create real connections, not just deliver content.
    • Activate and empower engaged community members so they can host their own local, in-person events wherever they are.
  • Build long-lasting relationships (~20%)
    • Stay connected with alumni as they move through their careers. The amazing person who took the course in 2026 should still hear from you in 2028!
    • Keep a mental map of who’s doing interesting work, who should meet who, and what people are building.
    • Make warm intros, remember what people are working on, and be the connective tissue of the community.

About you

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Feel energised by people. You’re the first to say hello when someone walks in the room. You remember what someone mentioned three months ago and follow up. Social situations charge you up rather than drain you.
  • Have actually done things. You’ve run a student society, organised in-person events, and built something technical as a side project. You don’t wait for permission to make things happen.
  • Sharp and curious. You pick up new domains fast, ask good questions, and can hold your own in a room of smart people.
  • Build systems, not just execute tasks. When you do something twice, you think about how to automate it. You’re comfortable in Airtable or similar tools, and you learn fast.
  • Care about the mission. You understand why AI safety and pandemic preparedness matter, or you’re eager to learn. This isn’t just a job to you.

You do not need existing AI safety or biosecurity expertise. We’re looking for a proactive, energetic generalist who learns fast and has a track record of making things happen. We encourage speculative applications — most strong candidates won’t meet all the criteria!

What we offer

  • Access to remarkable people: Our participants go on to work at Anthropic, DeepMind, UK AISI, and similar organisations. You’ll build relationships with hundreds of people shaping how AI affects the world, and you’ll be the one who introduced many of them to each other.
  • San Francisco-based role: In early 2026, we’re expanding to SF, the city that’s building AGI. This is an in-person role. US visa sponsorship available.
  • Freedom and autonomy: Our expense policy is "act in BlueDot's best interest", unlimited PTO, minimal bureaucracy.
  • Room to grow: This is a junior role with significant growth potential as our community and operations function expands.
  • $110–150k salary depending on experience, 10% employer pension contribution, and private healthcare.
