CRP Subsea are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to participate in the Operations Team, and contribute to the overall strategy and achieve approved targets.

What will you do as our Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Research, justify and implement capital expenditures to improve utilisation of working capital.
  • Support your line manager by providing technical expertise, developing, improving and maintaining systems, processes, procedures and process controls.
  • Utilise expert skills acquired in composite/polymers, engineering problem solving and six sigma/lean methodologies.
  • Support production and maintenance on a daily basis with plant troubleshooting and breakdown issues.
  • Evaluate rework and reject levels for design, process and training improvement opportunities.
  • Institute process and product improvement – result will be a positive impact on production cycle time, production costs and product quality.
  • Analyse and plan workforce utilisation, space requirements, and workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for optimum efficiency and safety.
  • Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
  • Develop and evaluate equipment and process to produce a high-quality product at a competitive cost.
  • Participate in qualification/development of suppliers for components, sub-assemblies and processes.
  • Facilitate development of corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Establish and document manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct manufacturing feasibility review: generate assembly instructions and tooling.
  • Provide technical direction, training and certification for operators performing detail process steps to ensure that the team have necessary skills, appropriate documentation, tooling and process control capability.
  • Resolve technical problems which affect quality, manufacturability, delivery and costs.
  • Manage the specification, sourcing and installation of new equipment through to manufacturing.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures with reference to health, safety and quality.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.

What we are looking for in our Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Effective communicator.
  • Degree, or equivalent level in an engineering discipline.
  • Lean / Six Sigma Qualification.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
  • Perform effective root cause analysis.
  • Deliver excellent customer satisfaction by continuously meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Understand customer needs and develop interventions to fulfil requirements.
  • Ensure excellent service delivery through operational excellence.
  • Proven track record within a fast-paced, demanding manufacturing environment.
  • Involvement in change initiatives and projects with a view to continual improvement.
  • Proficient in the use of SolidWorks.
