CRP Subsea is looking for a CNC Programmer/Operator to be responsible for programming, setting and operating a CNC Doosan lathe and CMS milling machine, machining a variety of products for subsea applications from materials including PU, Nylon and Syntactic.
What will you do as our CNC Programmer/Operator:
- Program machines using Fanuc and Power mill control systems.
- Set, operate, and adjust CNC machines to produce components in line with engineering drawings and production requirements.
- Inspect own working using various measuring equipment.
- Work closely with the Production Manager to prioritise jobs, meet daily production targets, and support the smooth running of the department.
- Liaise directly with Engineers and the Drawing Office to clarify machining methods, tolerances, and design intent.
- Design, set up, and manufacture fixtures and work-holding solutions to support efficient and repeatable machining processes.
- Select, prepare and change cutting tools, working with tooling suppliers to ensure tooling availability and optimal tool performance.
- Carry out first-off, in-process, and final checks using appropriate measuring equipment, acting as the first point of contact for quality issues.
- Escalate non-conformances to Quality Inspectors and support corrective actions as required.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of machines, ensuring work schedules are achieved and downtime is minimised.
- Attend daily SQPD meetings and contribute to discussions on safety, quality, delivery and continuous improvement.
- Follow all site Health & Safety procedures, maintain a clean, safe and organised work area, and actively promote safe working practices and improvement ideas.
What are we looking for in our CNC Programmer/Operator:
- Proficient with Fanuc and Power mill.
- Ability to work from complex engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures and machining best practices.
- Strong communication skills.
- High attention to detail.

- Minimum of 3 years programming experience within a precision engineering environment.
