About the role
AIS Vanguard Limited are looking for a reliable, experienced Rigger/Machine Mover to work from our Scottish Branch based in Bellshill. Works are primarily in the Central Belt of Scotland but may be required to cover works throughout the whole of Scotland, the UK & in rare occasions within Europe. Some travel will be required. The work involved is typically machinery installations/removals, factory moves, heavy or technical lifting projects or any project requiring the movement of machinery, plant and associated ancillaries. The content of the projects can include any or all of the following disciplines: heavy lifting, mechanical assembly/disassembly, electrical works, industrial pipework, shipping, packing, demolition or any other required activity.
Main Duties
- Working to pre-prepared RAMS
- Adhering to relevant health & safety rules & requirements
- Correct use of tools & lifting/handling equipment
- Assembly & disassembly of machinery, plant & equipment
- Working within set time budgets
- Complete relevant company paperwork relating to safety & assets
- Ensuring the correct presentation of yourself & your equipment
This list is not exhaustive, and you will be required to undertake other duties as directed by your manager.
About You
Apply if you have proven relevant experience of any of the following: Rigging, Machine Moving, Jacking Skating, Mechanical Fitting, Slinging, Plant Operations. Other key skills/qualifications that would be advantageous:
- Accredited Machine/Load Moving Qualification
- Accredited Forklift truck/Telescopic Handler Qualification
- Accredited Access Platform Qualification
- SSSTS/SSMTS/Safety Passport
- A strong safety ethos
- Good teamwork skills
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- A full driving license
