Are you a commercially driven construction professional looking for a role where you can genuinely influence business growth? Whether you’re an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up or already operating in an estimating and business development capacity, this is an opportunity to play a pivotal role within a well-established and growing scaffolding contractor.
Working closely with the Directors, you will take full ownership of the commercial lifecycle — from tendering and estimating through to margin control and final account settlement. You’ll also be instrumental in driving business development, securing profitable work, and strengthening long-term client relationships.
The Role
- Leading all estimating and tender submissions
- Preparing accurate, competitive quotations with strong margin control
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Developing and expanding existing client relationships
- Negotiating contracts, variations, and commercial terms
- Overseeing commercial performance across multiple live projects
- Working closely with senior leadership to support long-term growth strategy
- Attending client meetings, pre-contract meetings, and site visits as required
About You
- Commercially astute with strong financial awareness
- Confident managing multiple projects and priorities
- Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Skilled in negotiation and relationship building
- Detail-focused with strong analytical and IT capabilities
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or similar commercial role within scaffolding or the wider construction industry
- Proven experience preparing and submitting accurate quotations and tenders
- Strong understanding of margins, cost management, and commercial controls
