Monday – Friday: 07:00-16:00/08:00-17:00 hybrid working days a week (once training has been completed)

About the role
We are seeking an Estimator to join our Commercial team, supporting the growth and profitability of the business through the preparation of accurate, compliant, and commercially robust scaffolding quotations. While prior knowledge of scaffolding would be beneficial, proven estimating experience is essential. We welcome applications from candidates with estimating backgrounds across other construction-related sectors. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply strong commercial awareness and estimating expertise within a scaffolding environment. Full support and training will be provided to develop technical scaffolding knowledge where required.
Key responsibilities
- Review client enquiries, tender documents, drawings, and specifications
- Carry out site visits where required to assess access, logistics, and constraints
- Prepare detailed estimates for scaffolding works, including labour, materials, design, and hire periods
- Produce accurate take-offs and costings aligned with programmes and scopes
- Ensure pricing reflects current market rates, internal costs, and agreed margins
- Submit quotations within deadlines and follow up with clients as required
Business Development & Client Engagement
- Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities
- Re-engage lapsed clients and follow up on leads and referrals
- Attend site meetings and industry networking events
- Build and maintain a strong network of contacts to identify upcoming tenders
Commercial & Technical Coordination
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to clarify requirements
- Price variations promptly and communicate clearly with clients
- Negotiate pricing where required to maintain commercial viability
Systems & Documentation
- Maintain accurate tender records, pricing history, and outcomes using StrikeSoft
- Stay up to date with StrikeSoft and StrikeSoft Mobile features and workflows
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain positive, professional client relationships
- Represent the company confidently during meetings, site visits, and negotiations
- Provide commercial support pre- and post-tender
- Respond efficiently to client queries and re-costing requests
