About theTeam:
The TechnologyGroup is responsible for the effective delivery, management, and services ofall technology disciplines within the air navigation services environment.These include Oceanic and Domestic Air Traffic Management, Security and aNational MPLS Network, National Operations/Maintenance and Specialist Support,Information Technology and Service Management, Project Delivery/FlightInspection and National Engineering.

The IT &Service Management team reports to the IT & Service Management Manager withpeers to this role being the National IT Operations Manager, the EnterpriseApplications Manager, the IT Service Assurance Manager and the Service DeskVendor Manager.

About the Role:
We have a newly created permanentfull-time opportunity for a Data and Analytics Architect to join us in Auckland(airport) or Christchurch (Burnside). This role mixes hands-on functional taskswith strategic tasks, ensuring our data is reliable, accessible, secure, andaligned with business objectives.

This will see you develop, design,implement and maintain the organisations data architecture, including datamodels, schemas, and data flow design to support a centralised data function.

Youll establish and maintain a robustgovernance framework, policies, and standards to ensure alignment with businessneeds, security best practices, and regulatory compliance for data architectures.

Additionally, youll provide technicaldirection and oversight to enterprise application and platform teams, ensuringarchitectural consistency, adherence to best practices, and continuousimprovement of performance and reliability.

About You:
For success youll hold a deepunderstanding of data modelling, data governance, and integration bestpractices.

Additionally, you will hold:

  • A relevanttertiary degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Around 10years experience in the data management domain, with at least three (3) yearsin an architecture role.
  • Design anddevelopment experience building data solutions using MS Fabric(non-negotiable), Power BI, dataflows, data factory, and lakehousearchitecture.
  • Experiencewith Azure Synapse, Dataverse, and broader Azure Data Services (e.g. Azure SQL,Azure Data Lake and Azure Purview).
  • Experiencewith resource allocation, budgeting, timeline management and data-drivendecision making.
  • Knowledgeof data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Experiencewith database technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, cloud data platforms).
  • Abilityto work in a dynamic team and business environment, collaborate with people,show resilience and agility, take ownership and focus on delivering successfuloutcomes.

Beneficial:
Understanding of security principles, risk management, and compliancerequirements.
