Airwaves Facilities Management Ltd provides in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across the UK. We are looking for an Electrician to join our team based in the Heart of England. Covering sites up and down the country you will be responsible for providing a high level of Electrical repairs.

Role will entail the following tasks:

  • Electrical inspecting and testing
  • Installation works
  • Intercom system repairs and installation
  • Fire alarm system repairs
  • CCTV installation works

As part of the business you will need to be competent to carry out some of the following works whilst we build up the electrical portfolio:

  • General grounds works (fencing, slabbing)
  • Minor decorating
  • General Maintenance
  • Handyman Works
  • Locks & Door issues
  • Plumbing (not essential)

The role will include lone and team working. A company van, power tools (if required) and uniform will be provided along with training as and when required. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, 7am - 4pm totalling to 45 hours per week (1 hour lunch break per day totalling to 45 paid hours). Out of hours call outs and overtime available. Out of hours works will be required and paid at favourable rates.

The role of Electrician will include:

  • Working in a residential and commercial environment
  • Taking ownership of jobs by resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers and colleagues are kept informed
  • Managing materials accordingly
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer and the client
  • Updating internal systems
  • Reporting from site

Skills and experiences:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification
  • Electrical 18th edition
  • 2391 Inspecting and testing
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role within residential or commercial environments is an advantage
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • Skills / experience in the following disciplines is desirable – CCTV, Fire alarm systems, Intercom repairs and installation
  • Working knowledge of the health and safety regulations and requirements will be an advantage
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
