The Opportunity: The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for our retailer marketing strategy, including paid media and organic content. This role is key for driving marketing metrics including MAU, retailer activation and member engagement and transactions. This is a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
Responsibilities:
- Lead our retailer marketing strategy; managing the marketing calendar and ensuring the right mix of messaging and channels to drive high-intent engagement from our 4.5m members.
- Drive behaviour change in line with our key product launches, initiatives and overall marketing strategy.
- Plan, create and deliver brand-led campaigns, retailer launches and promotions and paid media placements.
- Own our paid media strategy, providing our Client Success team with slides they can pitch to our retail partners.
- Work closely with our Product teams to explore opportunities and ensure our app content supports our wider marketing needs and overall strategy.
- Optimise our scheduling to drive revenue, engagement and align with our overall calendar, marketing and CRM strategy.
- Own the retailer marketing budget to fund tactical campaigns that support our goals and deliver on ROI.
- Adopt a test and learn approach to continually refine and optimise our campaigns, focussing on how we can better our efforts and improve performance, using data to shape your decisions.
- Report back to key stakeholders on campaign performance.
- Manage and develop our Marketing Executive, ensuring they are meeting their objectives and also helping them to progress.
- Champion the brand and make sure all communications align with the overall brand positioning.
- Keep up to date with knowledge of competitors, key trade moments and new marketing initiatives to benefit our own marketing efforts.
Experience & requirements:
- 4+ years experience in a marketing role.
- Experience owning a marketing calendar.
- A data-driven approach to problem solving and optimisation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of creating innovative campaigns that drive engagement and meet business objectives.
- Commercially minded.
- Proactive and always looking for opportunities to improve.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Managerial experience nice-to-have but not essential.
