The Opportunity
As QA Engineer, you will contribute to ensuring our products meet high standards of quality and reliability. Reporting to the Lead QA, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to support and execute effective testing strategies within a fast-paced agile environment.

Responsibilities
Take a hands-on approach to testing, including test execution, managing test data, identifying risks, reporting defects, and making release decisions based on findings.
Work collaboratively with developers and product teams to support and enhance testing practices within development cycles, ensuring high-quality releases.
Communicate testing progress, risks, and release readiness clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
Assist in the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks to support the team’s “automation-first” QA strategy.
Support the continuous evolution of the QA strategy by contributing ideas and adopting best practices.
Promote and participate in ongoing improvement of testing processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.
Leverage monitoring tools to ensure software performance, reliability, and scalability are continuously observed and maintained at the highest standards.
Requirements
Experience in API testing and testing mobile and web applications.
Experience with test automation tools, techniques, and frameworks.
Proficiency in programming with one or more languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python preferred).
Exposure to integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
Familiarity with performance and load testing tools to ensure scalable solutions.
Understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and their relevance to QA processes.
Working knowledge of relational (MySQL) and NoSQL databases, including how to interact with them for testing and validation.
Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and QA’s role within these processes.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a critical eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Effective time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks or work streams simultaneously.
