The Opportunity
Airtime is looking for a Data Analyst with 3+ years of experience in a data analytics role. This is an opportunity for someone who can move beyond basic reporting and play a meaningful role in driving partner performance and commercial decisions across the business. You’ll work across multiple areas including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance, giving you broad exposure to how the business operates. Alongside supporting ongoing analysis across a range of business needs, you’ll focus on shaping problems, uncovering insights, and delivering clear, actionable recommendations that support strategy and performance.
Reporting to the Analytics Manager, you will:
- Analyse performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across multiple areas of the business.
- Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance to shape problems and deliver actionable insights that drive decision‑making.
- Translate business questions into structured analysis and clear, actionable recommendations.
- Communicate complex data through clear, compelling narratives tailored to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Develop a strong understanding of Airtime’s product, platform, and commercial model to provide context‑rich analysis.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimise performance, improve processes, and support business growth.
- Support ongoing analysis across a range of business needs, ensuring insights are consistent and relevant.
- Contribute to improving data quality, definitions, and consistency across the business.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a data analytics role.
- Experience working cross‑functionally and building relationships with stakeholders across different business areas.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how data impacts business performance.
- Experience translating business requests or problems into structured analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Proficiency in SQL (BigQuery a plus), Excel, and data visualisation tools.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting insights and influencing decision‑making.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Curious, proactive, and motivated to use data to drive improvements.
- Able to commute to the Manchester office twice per week.
