We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Full-Time Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions for 2 Companies. The successful candidate must have extensive, hands-on experience using Sage Line 50 and be capable of managing accounts up to trial balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Sage Management: Maintain accurate financial records daily using Sage Line 50.
- Reconciliations: Perform daily bank, credit card, and supplier statement reconciliations.
- Ledger Control: Manage the sales and purchase ledgers, including processing invoices and chasing outstanding debts. Also producing CIS returns.
- VAT Returns: Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns via Sage in compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) rules.
- Financial Reporting: Produce monthly management reports, profit & loss summaries, and prepare accounts up to trial balance for year-end review.
- Payroll Support: Assist with or manage monthly payroll processing and pension contributions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Software Mastery: Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience explicitly working with Sage Line 50.
- Experience: A strong background in a full-time bookkeeping or accounting clerk role.
- Qualifications: AAT (Level 4) or ICB/IAB certifications are highly desirable but qualified by experience (QBE) will be considered.
- Local: Must be within a commutable distance to East Grinstead.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
