This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board. We are Airtasker, the tech company that connects people who need to get things done with those who have the skills to do it. Our mission is to empower people to realise the full value of their skills. This doesn't just apply to those who use our product; it's also for our whole team of go-getters who bring the product to life and deliver impact to our community on a daily basis. Because we believe work (and life) is always better when you truly know and appreciate your strengths and skills.
Airtasker is the UK's leading marketplace for local services, and our Retail Partnership program is a cornerstone of our growth strategy. We've already secured partnerships with brands like Argos and Dunelm, and we're looking for a commercially-minded, entrepreneurial Partnership Manager to take the reins. You will be responsible for the full partnership lifecycle: from identifying and pitching new retail giants to deepening the integration of our existing partners to ensure Airtasker is the go-to solution for their customers' assembly and installation needs. This is a full-time contract position for 12 months, with the potential to convert into a permanent role.
What you'll do:
- Strategy & Ownership: Own the UK partnership roadmap, aligning with our Global Team in Sydney to ensure local execution meets global best practices.
- New Business Development: Identify and segment Tier 1 & 2 retailers. You'll lead the end-to-end sales cycle, pitching to senior stakeholders and positioning Airtasker as the "win-win" solution for their customers' "assembly anxiety."
- Account Management: Act as the primary lead for existing partners (Argos, Dunelm, UNiDAYS). You won't just "manage" them; you'll look for ways to deeper integrate our services, launch new categories, and maximise revenue.
- Co-Marketing & Content: Work with our Social Media and Marketing teams to create high-impact co-branded content and campaigns that drive awareness at the point of sale.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the "voice of the partner" internally, working with Product, Data, and Engineering to ensure our partnership tech stack is seamless and effective.
- Reporting: Deliver clear insights on program performance, ROI, and growth trends directly to the UK General Manager.
What success looks like:
- Revenue Growth: Measurable increase in GMV (Gross Marketplace Volume) derived from retail partner referrals.
- Pipeline Health: A consistently growing pipeline of "warm" Tier 1 and 2 retail prospects.
- New Account Growth: Successful onboarding of new partners within your first 12 months.
- Existing Relationship Depth: High engagement scores and proactive growth plans established with our existing Tier 1 accounts.
We'd love to hear from you if you tick some of these boxes:
- You're an Experienced Operator: You have 4-6 years of experience in Partnerships, Business Development, or Account Management (ideally within tech or marketplaces).
- You're a Natural Connector: You have a proven track record of navigating complex organisations and pitching to C-suite or Head-of-Level stakeholders.
- You're a "Solution Seller": You don't just sell a product; you understand a retailer's pain points (returns, customer satisfaction, delivery friction) and position Airtasker as the cure.
- You're Scrappy & Self-Directed: You thrive in a "startup" environment. You don't wait for a manual; you build the manual.
- London-Based / Commutable: You're happy to collaborate in person 2-3 days a week at our Waterloo hub.
Bonus points for:
- Previous experience in a two-sided marketplace (e.g., Deliveroo, Uber, eBay etc.)
- You've used Airtasker yourself and understand the magic of getting a "to-do" list done!
At Airtasker we believe in culture add - that each person is different and has their own background, learnings and unique experiences that can add to the Airtasker cultural tapestry. We pride ourselves on our inclusive culture, and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
