The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.
Airtask Group provides bespoke mission-based aviation solutions to Government and Commercial customers. We currently have a requirement for a full-time Safety and Compliance Monitoring Manager. Consideration will be given to splitting the role (Safety or Compliance) for those candidates seeking a part-time position. The role can be carried out remotely but will require regular travel to our Head Office and other operating bases.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Company Safety Management System (SMS) meets the requirements of relevant legislation and all operational and maintenance aspects of the Compliance Monitoring System are adhered to in line with company manuals, procedures and standards required by the authority.
Key responsibilities are:
- Monitor Airtask Group’s compliance with all relevant regulations, requirements, standards and procedures to ensure that the related processes and procedures are in place, are compliant, adequate and effective.
- Ensure the Safety and Compliance Monitoring Systems are properly established, implemented, maintained and documented.
- Provide safety and compliance oversight of Airtask Group’s contracted and subcontracted suppliers.
- Facilitate the risk management process that should include hazard identification, risk analysis and risk mitigation, and facilitate the Management of Change (MoC) process.
- Ensure that there is safety management training available and promotion of a Just safety culture within the Company.
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following skills, knowledge, and experience:
- Previously accepted as, or the capability to meet the requirements to hold the specific Nominated Person post(s).
- Safety Management Systems (SMS) principles and practices, including implementing and managing Safety Management Systems.
- Compliance Monitoring Processes including implementing and managing Compliance Monitoring Programmes.
- Strong knowledge of UK Regulation, including Part-ORO, Part-CAT, and Part-SPO, with practical application in safety management systems, compliance monitoring, and operational oversight.
- Possess a highly organised approach to working to strict deadlines.
- Clear decision-making ability.
- A formal auditing qualification or relevant training including experience within the relevant field(s) to meet the Nominated persons requirements.
- ISO 9001:2015.
Advantageous Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Experience within Flight Operations, CAMO, Part-145, Part-147, Approved Training Organisations (ATO), and Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD). Knowledge of ICAO Annex 19, UK Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014.
- Previous experience as an Aviation Safety Manager and Safety Investigator.
- Experience using Centrik or equivalent Safety and Compliance Management Systems.
