Airtask Group provides bespoke mission-based aviation solutions to Government and Commercial customers. We currently have a requirement for a full-time experienced Maintenance Manager and Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager based at our Head Office in Milton Keynes. The position requires a dedicated and self-motivated individual who is able to work under their own initiative, together with the flexibility and ability to work to strict deadlines.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate they fulfil the requirements to hold this position as a nominated person in accordance with the UK CAA regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Maintenance performed is accomplished to the highest standards, correctly certified and records are securely transported and stored.
- Personnel engaged in maintenance are, and remain, qualified, authorised, competent and trained with the use of routine Company, OEM, TCH, released publication circulars.
- In coordination with Maintenance Control, sufficient personnel in the roles of supervision, performing, inspecting and certifying planned maintenance are available.
- Facilities for base maintenance, line maintenance and workshops are maintained and appropriate for the planned maintenance.
- Maintenance data is readily available as required by 145.A.45.
- Material Storage facilities are adequate, clean and secure.
- Tooling and Equipment required for planned maintenance is available, appropriate and in compliance with designated current day requirements.
- Deputise for the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.
- Support the Continuing Airworthiness Manager in developing modifications, preparing data for business development and other company activities.
It is essential that prospective candidates have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
- Engineering background (continuing airworthiness experience preferred).
- Engineering or technical degree, technician or maintenance engineer qualification or Part-66 license (preferred).
- Knowledge of Human Factors.
- Knowledge of UK continuing airworthiness regulations.
It is preferred but not essential that prospective candidates have the following:
- Part-66 license, B1.1, B1.2 and/or B2 and/or C, with F406 and Group 3 rating.
- Experience managing line and base maintenance stations.
- Experience writing, reviewing and amending aircraft maintenance programmes and expositions.
- Experience developing modifications.
- Experience investigating obsolescence derived replacement of components.
