We are seeking a Transport Coordinator to join our Material & Logistics team at RAF Brize Norton. This is a key role responsible for coordinating the movement of aircraft components and materials across the UK and internationally. You will ensure shipments are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with aviation, customs, export control, and Dangerous Goods regulations.

AirTanker is a vital part of the UK’s defence capability, delivering air-to-air refuelling and air transport services to the RAF and MOD. We operate at the intersection of military precision and commercial innovation. As a Transport Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring aircraft components and materials are moved safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with aviation, customs, and transport regulations. By coordinating domestic and international shipments, managing critical logistics documentation, and working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will directly contribute to aircraft availability, operational performance, and the continued success of our fleet.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate the shipment of aircraft components and materials to customers, suppliers, and approved repair facilities.
  • Arrange domestic and international transportation, selecting the most appropriate method based on urgency, compliance requirements, and cost.
  • Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including customs paperwork, commercial invoices, return-to-vendor documentation, and Dangerous Goods declarations.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, courier companies, and logistics providers to coordinate collections and deliveries.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with regulatory, company, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.
  • Support the movement of controlled and military-restricted items in line with relevant procedures.
  • Work closely with Materials, Logistics Operations, and Repair & Quarantine teams to ensure the effective movement and return of assets.
  • Act as a point of contact for customs and Dangerous Goods queries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline logistics processes.
