Are you passionate about driving project success through robust governance and control? We’re looking for a PMO Analyst to join our Programmes & Continuous Improvement team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with our strategic objectives. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to monitor performance, manage risks, and maintain accurate documentation. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will help improve forecasting and reporting, while your ability to build strong relationships will support collaboration across multiple functions.

What you'll be doing

  • Monitor and report on project performance, ensuring adherence to governance and compliance processes.
  • Support Project Managers with schedules, budgets, and risk management.
  • Analyse project data and prepare detailed reports for sponsors and teams.
  • Audit project documentation and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain and enhance project tools and templates.
  • Facilitate benefits identification and realisation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and training programmes.

What you'll bring

  • Essential: 5+ years’ experience in PMO or project controls within large, complex projects.
  • Degree level education, HNC, or equivalent experience in project management.
  • Strong understanding of risk, cost, and schedule management.
  • Experience with governance frameworks and lifecycle methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Visio, SharePoint, Risk software, and MS Project.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable: APM PFQ/PMQ or equivalent qualifications.
  • Certification in project control elements (Risk, Schedule, Cost).
  • Experience in running Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) on large projects.
  • Experience working with MoD or complex stakeholder environments.
