Please note this is a 2-year FTC. We are looking for an Organisational Resilience Lead to shape and deliver our resilience approach across our organisation. Working with a small, core senior team, you will define how we prepare for, respond to, and recover from both disruptive events and enduring challenges. You will work in partnership with senior leaders and critical service teams to build a clear organisational resilience framework and embed resilience into our everyday operations. This role plays a key part in strengthening our capability and ensuring we are ready to operate across a range of scenarios.

What you’ll be doing
- Strategic Impact: Lead the design and rollout of a comprehensive resilience framework for our whole organisation.
- In partnership with the Programme Manager, designing and continually improving our approach to Resilience.
- Acting as a senior advisor to the Executive Director on resilience matters.
- Working closely with our Head of Corporate Compliance and Enterprise Risk, design a regular report for our Senior Leadership Group (SLG) on the improvements and de-risking to our operational resilience, risks, incidents, and the effectiveness of resilience framework.
- Bring together work already ongoing under one framework hereby ensuring a coordinated and prioritised approach.
- Determining / making recommendations around the requirements for ongoing management of the Resilience Framework past implementation.
- Relationship building and development of our resilience work with the MOD and RAF. Raising awareness of resilience across CIV and MIL in support of AirTanker service delivery inc. interoperability and transition to Conflict where required.
- Work with the TtC Cell and Workstreams, collecting their requirements, prioritising the effort, and delegating / distributing the work / objectives in accordance with the Resilience Framework.
Prepare
- Define resilience targets and milestones for our identified resilience priorities; Business Continuity; Crisis Management, Cyber, People and Supply Chain, among others.
- Bring together and lead a Resilience Working Group / Steering Group.
- Assess current resilience maturity levels and work with the SMEs to establish a clear baseline and plans for improvement.
- Working with our appointed consultancy, using Business Impact Assessment tools to Identify and raise awareness of our risks, gaps, and emerging threats, providing clear recommendations to our SMEs and the wider SLG.
- Function as the key contact and manage our third-party external advisors and resilience partners.
- Align our resilience approach with our regulatory standards and business strategy.
- Work with our Academy training teams to build resilience understanding and capability across our workforce.
- Ensure all documentation related to resilience, including annual self-assessment, policies, procedures, and plans, is accessible, current, accurate, and effectively communicated to stakeholders.
Respond
- Support with the BC / DR SME (Ops Risk Manager) with risk events and incidents, where needed.
- Working in support of our BC / DR SME ensure our contingency plans are maintained, updated where necessary and protected.
Recover
- Support our BC / DR SME on resilience recovery plans.
- Embed resilience learning outputs into day-to-day processes and decision making.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and organisational learning.
- Support governance, reporting, and performance tracking of resilience activity.
- Keep the organisation up to date and current on any resilience regulatory changes and industry best practice.
