Working in a highly regulated and operationally complex aviation environment, this role is central to ensuring that risks and opportunities across the organisation are identified, assessed, managed and reported effectively. Working closely with leaders and risk owners, you'll help enable informed decision‑making, support sustainable performance, and enhance organisational resilience. Note: This is a 2 year fixed term contract.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and embed an effective Integrated Risk Management (IRM) framework aligned to best practice.
- Facilitate enterprise‑wide risk threat and opportunity assessments, working with Risk Owners and Risk Champions.
- Own and maintain the IRM Risk Register, overseeing data quality, mitigation progress and overall risk exposure.
- Provide clear, insightful risk reporting to senior leaders, committees and the Board.
- Support strategic decision‑making by providing risk input into business planning, projects and investments.
- Promote a proactive risk culture through stakeholder engagement, training and guidance.
- Support alignment between enterprise risk, safety, compliance and assurance activities.
- Lead the use and ongoing improvement of the organisation's risk management system.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Enterprise Risk Management, ideally within aviation, aerospace or a high‑risk regulated environment.
- Strong working knowledge of corporate governance and risk management frameworks (particularly ISO 31000).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to convert complex risk information into clear, actionable insight.
- Confident communicator, able to challenge and influence senior stakeholders with credibility.
- Comfortable working cross‑functionally and balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery.
Desirable
- Experience working with a Safety Management System (SMS), quality or compliance function.
- A professional risk qualification (e.g., IRM, CII, ISO Lead Auditor).
- Experience using risk management systems, dashboards or analytics tools.
- Background in aviation operations, engineering, safety or regulatory affairs.
