We are seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join our Finance and Business Performance team. This role is pivotal in driving cost control, reducing financial waste, and supporting profitability across the organisation. You will provide detailed analysis, reporting, and guidance to ensure robust financial performance and operational efficiency. This is a 2 year FTC.

What you'll be doing:
- Analyse costs for MRO and product lines, assessing profitability and supporting growth initiatives.
- Manage cost control, budgeting, asset management, and performance evaluation.
- Establish standard costs and assess fixed and variable costs for manufacturing.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for senior management.
- Support inventory reconciliation, fixed asset accounting, and disposal of obsolete stock.
- Provide operational financial analysis and KPI reporting to drive business results.
- Participate in monthly close processes and ensure accurate account reconciliations.
What you'll bring:
- ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified.
- Minimum 5 years in cost accounting, ideally with exposure to ERP systems (Envision or Access Dimensions).
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- Proficiency in Excel and major accounting packages.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Desirable:
- Experience with large databases and matrix organisations.
- Knowledge of Aerospace & Defence industry and PFI contractual environments.
