Airswift is looking for a Senior SCADA Engineer Representative to support a leading offshore wind Developer. You will be responsible for the engineering team, working on the implementation and commissioning of wind farm automation and communication systems. On-site expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that automation solutions align with project specifications, meet quality standards, and are commissioned on time. You will be collaborating closely with colleagues to oversee system commissioning.
The ideal candidate possesses a solid technical understanding of SCADA systems, works proactively, adapts to evolving conditions, and effectively represents back-office engineers on-site while stepping in to provide support when needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain SCADA site presence, acting as the primary on-site technical contact.
- Serve as the interface between the SCADA design team and the commissioning team.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and System Integration Testing (SIT), ensuring successful completion.
- Perform quality inspections and provide reports to the SCADA design team.
- Supervise physical deployment and provide feedback to local project teams.
- Minimum five years of site-based installation/commissioning experience in the energy/utilities sector.
- Strong understanding of IT system hardware and network concepts.
- Knowledge of radio communication systems.
- Proficiency in fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Familiarity with best practices for fiber optic and copper cable installation.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
