PRINCIPAL ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – POWER SYSTEMS

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to develop electrical power system designs supporting process design for major energy transition and energy security projects. Demonstrable experience in designing large industrial power systems is essential.
The role is based in Leatherhead on a hybrid basis and will be a 12-month renewable contract outside of IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical power system designs for large industrial projects.
- Size and select high voltage equipment, large frequency converters, AC/DC UPS systems, and related components.
- Develop philosophies and specifications for electrical systems.
- Provide input to project estimating.
- Complete or review power system studies/calculations using ETAP or similar tools.
Desirable Experience:
- Power system design for H2, NH3, LNG, or refining projects.
- Experience with high voltage equipment and large frequency converters.
- Development of technical philosophies and specifications.
- Power system studies using ETAP.
