Contract: 12-month Fixed Term
We are seeking a Piping Valve & Vessel Package Engineer to join our team in Glasgow, supporting transformative projects in sulphate removal technology. This role is ideal for experienced Piping Engineers with expertise in managing the technical requirements for valves in large-scale projects. Candidates with backgrounds in valve specification, procurement, and management are particularly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Creating Technical Requisitions/Datasheets
Defining SDRL
Evaluating Bids
Preparing Technical Bid Tabs
Conducting Clarifications
Assisting in order placement
Attendance at client and vendor KOM’s, progress, inspections, HAZOP meetings etc.
Managing vendor(s)/vendor(s) docs
Liaising/progressing vendor(s)
Project reporting
All aspects of package engineering
Manhour forecasting (as required)
Client liaison on technical and commercial aspects of the project
Supporting other engineering staff on technical issues
Providing technical content review and participating in tenders for the Upstream Offshore Water Treatment Systems market and ensuring they are prepared in a timely manner, in accordance with Company procedures and defined by the go/no go decision for a bid
Requirements
Education: MEng or equivalent work experience in an engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in oil and gas or water treatment industries, with a proven track record in project delivery.
Piping Engineering Expertise:
Extensive experience in valve specification, selection, and management.
Ability to handle manual, actuated, and safety-related valve packages.
Broad capabilities in managing mechanical and piping packages are advantageous.
Skills:
Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, and Adobe Acrobat.
