We’re looking for an experienced Lifting Operations Technical Coordinator / Appointed Person to join a high-performing construction and commissioning team supporting major UK projects. This is a key technical leadership role, acting as the focal point for all lifting, rigging, and mechanical handling activities on site—ensuring operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and fully compliant with industry standards.
The Role
You will take ownership of all lifting operations on site, providing technical oversight, guidance, and assurance across the full project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the technical authority / Appointed Person for lifting operations
- Reviewing and endorsing lift plans, method statements, and risk assessments
- Ensuring compliance with LOLER, BSEN, and client-specific standards
- Overseeing the inspection and integrity assurance of lifting equipment
- Supporting and supervising rigging teams on site
- Conducting audits and driving continuous improvement in safety and execution
- Acting as the main interface for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in lifting operations, rigging, and crane activities
- Strong background as an Appointed Person (CPCS A61) or equivalent
- Knowledge of LOLER regulations and lifting standards
- Experience reviewing lift plans and managing high-risk operations
- Ability to lead teams and promote a strong safety-first culture

- OPITO Rigging Stage 3 / 4
- ECITB Moving Loads
- LOLER Competent Person
