Role Overview
A Commissioning & Completions lead is responsible for governance, strategy, and execution across a portfolio of UK projects. The role ensures successful project delivery through early engagement, standardised commissioning practices, value creation, and effective use of global resources. This position acts as the UK focal point for Commissioning & Completions, supporting bids, Pre-FEED/FEED activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide governance and oversight of Commissioning & Completions across UK projects to influence successful delivery
- Support project strategy, bids, and proposals through early engagement
- Embed Commissioning & Completions into projects to improve margins, execution, and delivery outcomes
- Standardise Commissioning & Completions processes across projects using tools, including SMART Completions
- Optimise use of global resources and support selection and appointment of Commissioning & Completions Managers
- Develop a strong UK and global network of Commissioning & Completions professionals
- Establish reliable EPCM commissioning solutions through qualified service providers
- Ensure Commissioning is embedded in the Value Creation framework from bid through execution
- Support continuous improvement through lessons learned and collaboration with Digital Initiatives teams
- Drive growth, profitability, and efficiency of the Commissioning & Completions function
- Mentor and develop UK-based Commissioning & Completions Managers
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and participate in key customer meetings
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in field delivery of Completions & Commissioning on major capital projects
- Proven track record as a Commissioning & Completions Manager delivering successful projects
- Right to work in the UK (mandatory)
- Strong commitment to project safety culture and best practices
- Experience with Completions Management Systems
- International project experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to analyse project metrics and identify risks and improvement areas
