Join our dynamic team as a Telecom Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in the development of cutting-edge telecommunications systems for a major player in the oil and gas industry. Role Overview

  • Ensure compliance of CPF-2 EPSCC contract Telecom detailed engineering activities with approved SOR and Company standards.
  • Liaise with headquarters for assistance and deviation resolution under the guidance of the ICSS Lead.
  • Participate in Procurement technical preparation and assist during all procurement phases.
  • Attend FAT and SAT within Telecom discipline, ensuring a clear handover dossier is provided to the site supervision team.
  • Provide technical advice and support to construction supervision regarding CPF-2 Telecom.
  • Comply with HSE requirements and support HSE Project objectives and directives.
  • Participate in tender assessments and clarifications with bidders.
  • Engage in identification and technical discussions on AGUP interfaces related to CPF Telecom.
  • Perform quality reviews of detailed engineering documentation related to CPF Telecom.
  • Review and propose responses to technical queries and deviation requests related to CPF Telecom.
  • Ensure implementation of Pre-Project requirements frozen per SOR and key binding documents related to CPF Telecom.
  • Expedite Contractors to issue deliverables with the right quality level as per approved MDRs.
  • Contribute to HQ Project Review preparation and provide input for responses applicable to CPF Telecom.
  • Review vendor documents assigned and assist project engineers in technical problem-solving.
  • Attend weekly coordination meetings with CONTRACTOR(s) for the Telecom discipline.
  • Report weekly activities performed and attend coordination meetings.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Wireless Networking: Expertise in wireless communication technologies.
  • UHF Hand Portable Radios: Proficient in UHF radio systems.
  • Telecom Systems: Strong understanding of telecommunications systems including OTN, TETRA, VHF radio systems, IP networks, and security systems.
  • Fibre Optic Cabling: Proficient in fibre optic cabling network design and copper cable networks.
  • Technical Standards: Knowledge of international codes and standards related to telecommunications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or System Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of experience in Oil and Gas projects as Telecom Lead/Sr Telecom Engineer.
  • Experience with international Engineering EPC Contractors on projects of similar scale is preferred.
