Role Overview
- Conduct power system studies including equipment sizing, load flow, short circuit analysis, dynamic motor starting, harmonic studies, arc flash assessments, and transient stability evaluations.
- Oversee third-party vendors to ensure the successful execution of power system studies.
- Utilize EMT software to provide comprehensive power system studies for various projects.
- Apply intermediate knowledge of ETAP software to enhance project outcomes.
- Support captive power generation projects, with or without grid connection.
Skills & Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering: Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles.
- Power System Expertise: Proficient in conducting load flow, short circuit, and dynamic motor starting studies.
- ETAP Software: Intermediate knowledge and experience using ETAP software for power system analysis.
- EMT Software: Familiarity with EMT software for advanced power system studies.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret study results effectively.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in power systems engineering or related roles.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in power systems or electrical engineering are advantageous.
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive rate of £65 per hour, outside IR35, subject to QDOS assessment.
- Flexible working pattern: 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
