Role Overview

  • Conduct power system studies including equipment sizing, load flow, short circuit analysis, dynamic motor starting, harmonic studies, arc flash assessments, and transient stability evaluations.
  • Oversee third-party vendors to ensure the successful execution of power system studies.
  • Utilize EMT software to provide comprehensive power system studies for various projects.
  • Apply intermediate knowledge of ETAP software to enhance project outcomes.
  • Support captive power generation projects, with or without grid connection.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering: Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles.
  • Power System Expertise: Proficient in conducting load flow, short circuit, and dynamic motor starting studies.
  • ETAP Software: Intermediate knowledge and experience using ETAP software for power system analysis.
  • EMT Software: Familiarity with EMT software for advanced power system studies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret study results effectively.

Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in power systems engineering or related roles.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in power systems or electrical engineering are advantageous.

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive rate of £65 per hour, outside IR35, subject to QDOS assessment.
  • Flexible working pattern: 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
  • Opportunity for a 6-month renewable contract with potential for extension.
